Highlights - Buildings
This page is a collection of my favourite photographs of buildings; a
new category to replace the 'wildlife' section of 2004, given that
we saw precious little wildlife in New England.
Photographs below include scenes from
Ashfield, Montpelier and Boston.
I'm happy with the way all these
photos came out but my favourite would have to be of the Capitol
building in Montpelier. It would have been hard to take a bad
photograph here - the golden dome, the background foliage, the
decorative flags; I felt the composition comes together very well.
By increasing the saturation on the camera, I felt the colours came
out much richer.
I'm also very happy with the images
from Ashfield - there's something of a timeless quality to them,
with orange hues, empty roads and a general feeling of calmness.
